Brooke Leialoha is known for her ability to evolve and use her voice as an instrument, captivating audiences with a calming presence. A prolific songwriter, musician, composer, and now producer, she released 8 albums under the name Brooke D. from 2007-2023, and will be releasing her 9th and 10th album in 2024: Daughter of a King (Oceanic Hip Hop / RnB), and Drifters (Acoustic). Riding the waves of change with grace and resilience, she has explored many different genres, musical partnerships, and forms of instrumentation.

With a background in jazz and classical music from an early age, Brooke’s musical acuity has allowed her to transition between styles and sounds with ease…beginning her career on piano, eventually finding the joys of beat-boxing and live looping, then learning acoustic guitar, and finally finding true liberation through producing beats and electronic music in her traveling home studio. Brooke’s deep affinity for lyrics, enlivened by her degree in Creative Writing, adds a narrative quality to her songwriting, taking listeners on a journey into the heart and soul.

In addition to her solo work, she has collaborated with artists around the world, sharing many different characters and personas for every project she is apart of. While her travels have allowed her to spend significant time in major cities on the West Coast, New York, and Hawai’i, she has built a rainbow bridge of connection between these places and communities that stands the test of time and distance. Due to the limitations of the global pandemic, she also has built musical relationships with artists from other countries and cites, many of whom she has worked with but never met in person.

Whether you find her playing acoustic guitar in the subway or on the beach, singing at jam sessions in New York City, adding healing tones to Hip Hop, RnB, and House tracks, or dancing on the big stage wearing sparkly boots, you’ll walk away feeling renewed.
